Ministry News March 2021
Dear Brothers and Sisters, we send you love and greetings from Esuubi Community. We thank the Lord for you all, for we you have sacrificially continued to labor with us in the ministry He has graciously called us to; your love expressed through prayers, words of kindness and financial support plays a big role in keeping us going. Now we pray that our God will supply all your needs according to His divine purpose.
Though we have had a lot of setbacks in ministry plans, the Lord has continued to bless us with wisdom in how to serve Him during these strange times; some of the measures we adapted to during the Covid-19 lockdown will be carried along even after the lockdown is fully lifted.
Briefly, let us share with you our ministry news for March.
The Lule family.
We are grateful to God for His protection and provision. God has allowed us good Health and has provided for our needs as a family. Claire continues to homeschool Sarah, David and Joe as I homeschool Edith who is Senior two ( an equivalence of grade 8 in the US).
Last month was Claire’s 28th birthday as most of you sent her birthday greetings, she is very thankful for your love and kindness. On the 21st of this month we will be celebrating David’s 5th birthday.Thank you for your continued prayers and support.
Esuubi Baptist Community Church.
As a community of believers at EBCC, we are grateful to God for we are continuing to grow in His word. We are currently doing an expository teaching in 2 Timothy and trusting God to use His word in transforming the lives of His children.
We have as well been doing classes on 1 Peter the last couple of weeks and finished doing all the exams on this beautiful epistle. The exams were done on a Chapter basis and the Bible being the source of these answers. The main goal of the testing was whether the learners had understood how to apply the words of the text in their daily walk with the Lord. Most of the young people did pretty well while others still need time to process. Our next book starting next week will be 1 John. Kindly pray that this will not only be a mental exercise but a life transforming process for us all.
As a way of reaching out to individual members of our church. Recently we started ministering to one of our family who have been lacking proper housing. We are in the process of building for them a traditional muddy house on their plot of land.
This house needs 30 irons sheets, the family was able to buy 10, the church bought 12. They need 8 pieces of iron sheets (@ 8), 25 bags of cement (@ $8) , a door and window ($180). The cement will be used to plaster the walls so that they are not wasted by the rain but also reinforces the strength of the walls. The total $444.00 which is close to $500.00 if labor is also put in account.
The old man who leads this family is a faithful believer, both him and his wife were graciously saved through the ministry of Esuubi. Their two children came to the faith first through our community camps. Following, his wife came to the faith in the first weeks of opening EBCC and later the she led her husband to the Lord. When the husband got saved, being a former servant of the Roman Catholic coventry; the priest and the nuns called him to their office and tried to bribe him back into the religion promising to build him a house (this was back in April last year), but the gentleman strongly expressed his love for the Lord and told them that he wasn’t to forsake his faith even it meant that he sleeps outside on the grass.
If you’re led to refresh this family with a financial aid in getting their house done, kindly let us know and we will advise on how to send the gift.
Esuubi Children Sponsorship.
School in Uganda is opening in staggered form, between March and August this year, kids of different grades will at school while others are at home and after they get holidays the others will join. Our Primary Seven kids (equivalent to grade 6) will be sitting for the primary leaving examinations starting the 31st of March. At Esuubi we have three kids that will be sitting for those exams (Jaliah, Sandrah and Nicholas). If these kids pass these exams they will join senior secondary school. Kindly pray for them they will be able to even use these last days to concentrate and study.
Our primary six kids also reported to school as the rest of the kids are still being homeschooled. The next bunch of kids to be allowed in school will those in Primary four and five who will report on the 6th April. And the rest (Primary one, two and three) will follow on the 7th of June. As per the government this is intended to have small numbers of kids attending school at the same time which would affect social distancing guidelines.
On our sponsorship program, we still have close to 50 kids that are unsponsored. If your haven’t sponsored any kids at Esuubi, and you’re able to, prayerfully consider taking on an opportunity of helping a kid to get an education and above all for them to be able to stay in a school where they will get to hear the gospel being taught and lived out every single week. Who knows what seed(s) you’re planting!
For you to sponsor a kid in Esuubi Children Sponsorship Program, it costs $360 a year ( which is $30 per month, $90 per quarter). These funds help in paying tuition for the kid, a meal for the kid, school supplies and basic medical care.In the event that you’re interested in sponsoring a kid(s), kindly send us an email or a text.
Esuubi Medical Missions.
Our medical mission ministry has been quite slow due to restrictions of Covid-19. Nevertheless, we have been able to see patients in their homes and to educate others on matters concerning prevention of Covid-19 and how they can boost their immunity which would help to prevent but also alleviate severity in case one gets it.
Answered prayers and opened doors.
- We are thankful as a family for God through our ministry partners has raised our support from $400.00 to $900.00. This puts is at 51.4%. We are trusting Him to get to a point of being fully supported. Thank you all for who have already come onto our support team; we are very grateful.
- We are thankful to God for transforming the lives of our young people. Most of them are growing and developing a biblical world view. They are leading others to the Lord and starting to take their time alone with God seriously. Continue to for them to develop into amazing leaders of the church locally and globally.
