SECOND QUARTER NEWSLETER 2018
“The congregation is growing in number and on each successive Sundays we have had new members coming to fellowship with us.” |
Hello Brothers and Sisters in the Lord, we send you greetings in the name of Lord Jesus Christ, may His peace and grace abound in your lives and all other relationships He has allowed you.
As always we are grateful to have the privilege of having as partner with us in the ministry God has entrusted with us, in which ever category you help whether passing a word to a church or friend concerning our ministry, prayers, encouragement or financial support, we are more than honored to have you on board, for the good of the work God has put before us! Let’s continue to be quick in answering the call when God asks, “who will go for Us?” For a time will come when night is here, and no one is able to work, so since we are still able to, let’s do so with all due diligence in the grace our Lord generously spoils us with.
FAMILY NEWS.
We are excited to share with you the addition in our family. On the morning 22nd June/2018 God allowed us to have another son, his name is Joseph Lule, thank you for praying, Claire and the baby are fine and we are already at home. Please pray for David as he is confused whether he should love this baby or compete with him! its quite a hard time for him.
Laushan, our five year old, removed her first two milk teeth, you can imagine how excited she is!
On 29th May, our eldest, Edith, turned 12 years and she is been doing very well in school, she is leading her class and she wants to be a Medical Doctor. We pray that the Lord will continue to guide her in all she does.
ESUUBI COMMUNITY CHURCH.
The other big news from our ministry from this second quarter of the month is the beginning of Esuubi Community Church. Our fellowship started gathering on the 9th of June and as for now, we have met for the following Sundays. The congregation is growing in number and on each successive Sundays we have had new members coming to fellowship with us.

This is the picture of our congregation taken on the 16th of June!
Most of the members of our church are those that have come to the faith through our ministry and others are people that are still seeking for truth. We had an old lady come to the faith on one of the Sundays and there are many that still need to prayers, they have known the truth, but haven’t come to believe the saving knowledge of the Lord.
We are looking forward to the in-depth study of the book of Romans, which might take us an entire year to finish it! Our goal is to
understand the nature of man (born sinful and unable to be saved through obedience to the law), the Justification of man (through faith in Christ alone), the Sanctification of man (the progressive cleansing of our sin through the working the Holy Spirit in our new life Christ given life and obedience to God’s word) and the application of the Christian faith in our everyday life! There could be so much in Romans but for the congregation of new believers we will do a helicopter few on some teachings, otherwise we will might confuse them.
Kids and teens camps.
Since April, we have had two exciting kids’ and teens’ camps. The first on April 9th was bit of combined and we had 60 kids and teens altogether attend. Most of those that attended this camp where kids that we have already led to the Lord, so it was more of a discipleship camp.
The second set of camps were separated. we had two days of kids camp, in these camps we had 50 kids come from the community. we used resources available to create a swimming pool for the kids. This was the highlight of the camp for the kids and few parents that were present.

The kids had a great time!
We also had three days of teens’ camp. Our theme was Purity, “how can a teen stay pure in this crooked generation”
Some teens made a commitment to continue cultivating their relationship with the Lord through spending private time with the Lord on daily basis. We pray that God will grant them the grace to continue growing and influencing others to grow.
Medical camps/mobile clinics.
In April, we had a medical camp where we had about 200 people get free treatment. This medical camp was funded by Rotary Club of Ohio through a friend of our ministry. We treated all sorts of medical ailments and educated mothers about child care and family planning.

Educating a mother concerning a child’s condition.
In our home clinics, we receive about 5 patients both kids and elders on a daily basis. We sometimes use this as an opportunity to share the gospel with those that come to seek medical care.
This grandmother came to seek medical care and we took the opportunity to share with her the gospel and she came to the faith. In this kind of ministry, we so far have five people come to the faith.
Women’s ministry.
Claire has been working with six ladies. We teach them how to feed their children and to grow some of the essential foods their kids need to grow well. Claire started this microfinance where ladies save some little money and at the end of the month one of the ladies takes the funds raised and use the funds to buy something that improves their lives at home.

one of the ladies getting plates for her house.
Good news, all these ladies are congregants in our local church.
There is so much to share, but we have decided to share some of the highlights of the last three months.
Looking forward.
We are looking to starting the study of the book of Romans this coming Sunday. Pray that God will give the wisdom to make the book relevant to the congregation without watering down the truth.
